@eekim asks about real time editing.

My preference on this is to have a (magic?) service via javascript or browser extension which makes any textarea into a temporary operational transform capable editor etherpad-like thing. That service takes care of hooking up the multiple clients.

Don't reckon this will happen anytime soon, but leaving it here for safekeeping.
