Although a workaround is possible for standard tiddlers it is a bit of a pain.

Ideally it should be possible to rename when editing the content of a tiddler. The trouble with that is that renaming binary tiddlers would need a different solution. So perhaps there is a way of renaming any type of tiddler?

There is #100 which could allow for renaming a tiddler.

How important is it, relatively speaking, to do a rename in the editor?

Not sure what to use as a relative comparator but the advantage is that you
know exactly what it is that you are renaming. This is particularly
important where tiddlers have names which could be confused. I am not
suggesting that the name be editable with no clicks as in Tiddlyspace.
However, I think I did say "ideally", so if it helps - it would be far
better to have the rename somewhere than not at all:-)
