I am a technologist, software dev and father of fur babies. I am deeply interested in how software development can help humans solve civic problems. I am interested in assisting Open Austin build internal development tools to assist volunteers and helping teams build civic tech products to solve real-world problems. My most recent position was Full Stack Engineer on a healthcare app built with Typescript, Angular and Nest.js and utilizing GCP infrastructure.

• Data Science & AI: Educated in machine learning concepts and data analysis, most recently applied professionally in ETL process on GCP. Prompt engineer tester for the Amazon datagen project.

Current project 🏗

• I am building an uptime monitor app with Encore.go and react.
• The application will connect to a data platform being built by another Engineer to simulate large-scale outages.
• Learning Golang and Encore has really excited me about server-side development.

What I want to know

Experience goals 🥅

• I would like to have more backend experience and assist projects server-side functions.
• Mentor new or aspiring software developers
• Help OA with dev tooling and operational development to assist in establishing a standard project toolset.
• Grow my skillset from "savvy Junior" SWE to confident Senior
