How is the feature request related to the problem?

When the program updates, its desktop shortcut is placed after an update is completed, which has happened for around the last 3 hotfixes.

If the program is already installed, do not place the desktop shortcut.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Perhaps add a setting which checks for the presence of the shortcut before updating, which is followed for the update.
