s1 - horizontal arrangement : imagine having open a pdf file with notes, at the same time you have open a metronome app -> if app is big, ie high, it can obstruct seeing the notes; if arrangement is horizontal, one can stick metronome app over pdf-reader top part = menu & window title, which are mostly not relevant to reading & playing score
note : this is mostly relevant for time signatures - currently stacked one vertically under the other
yea i know i can easily resize main window
current vertical arrangement possibly horizontal arrangement
| metro | pdf-reader top menu | | metro app here not obstructing |...menu |
| app | ------------------------------------| | ----- score of might china ----------------------- |
| still | score ---------------------- | | ---- score --- general wung fingting --------- |
| here |----- score ------------------ | | ----- general wins battle & saves 1000 kids |
|-------- score of mighty china ----- | | --- all china celebrates the victory ----------- |
| ---- more score ------------------------ | | ---- wushu to the rescue ------------------------- |
s2 - hotkey restructure : (having horizontal arrangement or not) it would fit :
s3 - already mentioned in another post :
i tested some metronome apps past few days, this one is a very good one
also checked py code - most apps use time.sleep(x), which produces unreliable results
this one uses unknown algorithm, according to ancient china secret recipe (lol)
i also dl source code, unpacked Huanbu_Linux_bin.tar.gz, clicked extracted file, and voila ! - it worked as a charm, out of the box - bow, i am impressed
thx for sharing
have fun
aum
edit: github reformatted my formatting, not my fault
