Player stats and resources like stamina, strength, mana, etc, need to be integrated into all other systems of the game.

Tool qualities like how good your knife is to influence a projects success chance or speed/

How is this useful:

Letting players craft items with mana, or changing a recipe based on strength, having crafting take stamina or hunger because of how intensive it is on the person. Vehicle and construction work based on it as well.

High quality tool means it will always succeed even on recipes with failure chances, and it means it also goes much faster. This rewards tool quality usaie.

Examples:

Conjuration or crafting of items with mana and your skill at magic. This includes mimicking tool qualities with mana charges, so a lack of welder can be substituted with mana.

Smithing going better because your strength is high.

Construction with spells without needing to add a spell for every construction.

Chainsaw cuts down trees twice as fast as a wood axe, even faster than a hatchet. Butter knife barely cuts meat, Kitchen knife cuts well, electric carving knife is faster but not necessarily more precise.

Vehicle work without required tools. This includes jacking with specific strength, or magic. The strength can be supplied from cybernetics as well.
