Simple Examples

Example 1

• Select a database (e.g. iowa_liquor_sales_database)
• Drill down to see the tables in this database: Schemas >> public >> Tables

Question: What tables are there?

Example 2

• Choose a table, and pick a column name.
• Then type into Query-1: SELECT <column-name> FROM products LIMIT 10; and hit the lightning bolt. (e.g. category_name)

Question: What are the results? So what does this mean that the query statement mean? Note syntax is important.

Example 3

• Now type into Query-1: SELECT COUNT(*) from stores;

**Questions:**What are the results? 1973 So what does this mean the query statement mean?
