RQGIS3 is under development and does not work yet in RStudio. So I wasn't sure whether to open the issue here or there.

It seems to run fine in Emacs, except that the function open_help() launches the help page in the browser, but does not terminate in iESS: the new prompt does not appear and C-c C-c and C-g have no effect.

R did not crash and it was very different from my usual Emacs hanging experiences (I could type in the iESS buffer) but I had to kill the session since I was unable to get a new prompt.

The function works fine in R in the terminal.

Oops, it looks like the problem is on their side (r-spatial/RQGIS3#2). So I will close this. Sorry for the noise...
