Testnet 4 Multisig #1
Comments
Would indeed be great to have this baked in into Sparrow. |
This is a great issue, thank you for making it! Yes, you can encrypt and backup any descriptor with any type of xpub (tpub included!). But at present the software only works on Mainnet, meaning you can't inscribe it on testnet and recover it there. I should definitely build that functionality though for people who want to try it out end-to-end. Thank you for the issue, will get that up and running soon! |
Actually, it doesn't quite work on Testnet, even now. I assume by default you want an xpub when you decrypt, so as of right now, if you encrypt a testnet descriptor with tpubs, you'll get xpubs out when you try to manually recover. I'll fix this when I deploy a testnet subdomain. |
I'm glad you're excited about it being a feasible idea to implement in the future with Testnet. Having just spent a few weeks solid in Sparrow wallet with what is a daunting task for the average person to learn and interacting with all the features to use Bitcoin but I found Testnet to be just fantastic to try and see how everything works to gain confidence. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Thank you. P.S. Please have really simple easy instructions for us newbies and not so technical minded. |
Can this be tested in Sparrow Testnet 4 Multisig Wallets?
