Hi Nick,
Sorry I messed up the other post.
I installed the ppa for multiarch.

sudo apt-add-repository -y ppa:nickguletskii200/glxosd \ && sudo apt-get update \ && sudo apt-get install -y glxosd glxosd-libs-amd64 glxosd-libs-i386:i386

I kick myself because I had the older version 2 working like a dream.

Here is the error I get:

bluewormx@bluewormx:~$ glxosd glxgears Lua error: /usr/share/glxosd//glxosd/ConfigurationManager.lua:42: /usr/share/glxosd//glxosd/conf/glxosd_config.lua:5: unexpected symbol near '<'
