Flathub Verification

Description

Distros like Linux Mint and Elementary OS have started hiding or otherwise discouraging the use of unverified flatpaks. More will likely follow as verified apps approach 50% of Flathub. Could you verify the flatpak on Flathub so people on these distros can find it? Thanks for the heads up. Strictly speaking, it's an issue for https://github.com/flathub/com.github.quaternion but since no specific changes to the code would be involved (it seems - thanks to Flathub for grandparenting older ids) let's keep it here.

After reaching out to Flathub admins I discovered that grandfathering, the way I expected, is not (any more) working for projects like this. Basically, I was told to re-register Quaternion - I've been avoiding that for some time but it looks I really have to do it now.

The work is ongoing at flathub/flathub#5777.

The main part of the work has been done in the issue linked to above; once 0.0.97 is released, the main branch at Flathub will be updated to make a release under a new app id there, too.

0.0.97 is released, also as a Flatpak with the new app id; it should now be published any moment soon. Once this is done, the old app id will be EOLed.

https://flathub.org/apps/io.github.quotient_im.Quaternion is published and verified. The old app id will be EOLed once flathub/com.github.quaternion#45 is merged.
