Make sure that the vertical rhythm of the site is not disturbed. Check using something like GridFox.

Typical culprits that mess up the vertical rhythm are:

The tabs at the top of the page when logged in to Drupal
Borders around blocks (like on the browse page).
The picture on the user page (when logged in).
HTML Forms
Resizing the browser window

This received some attention in the dev-content-types branch. Probably not perfect yet.
