A previous build's test_results directory is removed prior to invoking the build_and_test task within a CI job. If the build fails before that task begins, the Jenkins post-build attempts to process the previous build's test_results directory.

The xUnit publisher somehow knows when the tests are stale, but the plot and image gallery plugins don't, and they present the previous build's data.
