Is it possible to add custom release notes along with generated ones?

Can we configure the release notes, I mean Can we add extra notes along with the generated ones for some commit?

You can always edit the release notes on GItHub manually after they were created. If you want to change the changelogs in a way that is not supported by this plugin then you can write your own

In our case, we would like to add a little header or footer text to a release, with supported php/node versions, for example. Is something like that possible?

+1 for this. I would like to add my android version code to the release notes as well, not just the version name.
