In #133 I put the specifics but I wanted to alert you to the fact that it happens in Windows too, or at least I think it's the same bug, it could be similar but not related to the issue. But just as the video shows in #133, if you are painting a bit outside the lines or terrain and you release your mouse after making a selection box that touches the terrain, the editor crashes. This is with 4.3 on Windows 10 as far as I can tell. Now the error it exits with is 11, as I said on #133, I think it's related to rendering, but also may just need a viewport bypass to ignore the selection of the default cursor mode. This doesn't happen in Compatibility mode set in the Editor. You also don't see the editor brush in Compatibility mode while in Terrain Edit mode. I've just been setting the editor to move, rotate, or scale mode to help not do it on accident as it's pretty easy to try and start a brush outside the edge when painting or sculpting.

You are right, I'm able to reproduce the editor crash on windows as well.
As far as I know, it should be fix with the next version of Godot, because of this fix : godotengine/godot#95420
I don't know when Godot will release this version, let's hope it's soon!
In the mean time, maybe some fixes could be done to try to prevent that issue, but I'll have to investigate.
The fact that it does not do that in Compatibility is strange, I was not aware! I'll try to check.
Same for the brush, I'll take a look if I can do something about it!
