Add a custom IP and host name

Adding custom IP in the Network Adapter

1. Run ncpa.cpl
2. Network adapter -> Properties
3. Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPV4) -> Properties
4. Set your LAN address in static mode (with mask, gateway and DNS)
5. Advanced
6. Click on the Add button below IP addresses
7. IP Address: 194.1.1.10 or some public IP address - That real address will be no longer reachable.
8. Mask: 255.255.255.255
9. You must have only ONE gateway (LAN)
10. OK all.

Adding a custom host name for the custom IP

Edit as Administrator the C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts file and add a custom host name:

194.1.1.10   xmr.mycustompool.org

• Now you can use xmr.mycustompool.org instead of localhost
