message delete requires zulip admin bot permissions fork

Permissions in zulip prevent admin bot from deleting messages. Look into what it would take for admin bot to be able to delete or edit any message.

Members having a discussion, one posts spam. We'd like to be able to delete the spam message for moderation. zulip does not allow our bot to delete.

Success would be that our admin bot account can delete messages as needed.

Alternative sounds like subscribing bot to every channel. This sounds more easy to achieve than managing a fork of zulip.

@stanislavkhatko what are the reasons we can't just add the bot to every channel as it is created? I'm sure there's a limit to the number of channels, but will we hit it in the next 3 months?

@tompscanlan Correct. Subscribing bot to every channel will cover 'delete' functionality, though in order to allow 'edit' the message we'll have to move forward with forking the repo and so on...
