Adding folders to PATH

Instructions for adding items to the PATH Environment Variable

Opening the Environment Variables dialog

Click the Start button, type "env", click "Edit the system environment variables", then click the "Environment Variables" button at the bottom.

The Environment Variables dialog will pop open.

In the bottom set of variables, find PATH, and click the bottom Edit button.

In the new dialog box that opens, click "New" and type or paste the required path, hit [Enter], then click OK, and OK again in the previous box.

You're all done!

Be sure to close any running Command or Terminal windows and re-open them to have the new Path take effect.
