Tournament individual game links inacurate. #15
Comments
The first issue here is tracked in #2 (permalink URLs don't include the participant list) The second issue is a bug; the Go button is supposed to take whatever ID you enter, not swap it for a random one. Looks like somehow that behaviour got broken. However you should find that clicking the "G7" link (rather than opening it in a new tab, for example), will work correctly. The tournament will continue to run in the background, and clicking the "Tournament" section of the navigation bar will return you to it. |
I had skimmed the issue list prior to posting, but the name hadn't popped out. Thanks for the update/info. :) |
The second issue is fixed now. Thanks for the report! The first issue (knowing which participants are in a game from the URL) is more tricky (see the linked issue for details). |
Awesome, thanks! |
This tournament for Formic Functions had Game 7 show Wildfire in 1st place (with 15 points). Opening the game to watch it, shows this game where it scores 11 points.
I believe this is due to the individual links having the right seed but don't correctly trim the participant list to only the 16 present bots. Even manually modifying the player list and starting a random game and attempting to input the seed doesn't work, as the "go" button and the "random" button do the same thing: generate a new seed. Planting the seed in the URL resets to using the full list of bots.
