Thanks for the contribution. This was already fixed by #97510 which is more encompassing than this patch, and we should aim to keep the branches in sync when we can anyway.

#97510 was already marked for cherry-picking but since a number of users are starting to run into issues, I'll speed it up now.

Superseded by 90f21a3.

Apologies I didn't mean to submit this PR, I noted it has been fixed, this fork was just to allow me to work until this appears in an official release and I created the PR so I could easily compare in case I need to make other changes.
