Cannot use ip-adapter-faceid-plusv2_sd15 ?

I installed forge through with Stability Matrix. Now I am trying to use ip-adapter-faceid-plusv2_sd15 (or sdxl).
In controlnet I cannot select ip-adapter_face_id_plus as preprocessor. I followed the tutorial of Sebastian kamph on Youtube.
Anybody can tell me if it should be possible ? I can select the lora model.
When you know another tutorial how to install this I would be thankfull

You don't select the model as the preprocessor, you select the "IP adapter" group and use one of those preprocessors. That's where the faceid model will show up in the model list.

Thank you pflky. I was expecting to see a preprocessor with the name ip-adapter_face_id_plus. How ever there are only ip-adapters with the names like
Insightface+Clip. So I am a little confused now and don't know what to choose. The results I get are a little disappointing now. I am an absolute beginner by the way :)

It takes a lot of tweaking to get good results, both on the lora weight and the controlnet weight, and also depends on the model you're using, the settings used, the face image itself, etc. Photomaker v2 is better, but it's a third party implementation that doesn't allow much customization or custom models. I can't recall but there may also be a trigger word required for the lora. It never was a super great method either way though. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and was heavily dependent on the input image and tweaked settings and prompt. Sometimes even low resolution bad quality images of faces worked better than high resolution ones.

Also ensure that you're loading the appropriate face swap lora for ipadapter swapping.
