Configuring MQTT & Home Assistant

Enable the MQTT toggle button, enter your server address, client username and password of your local MQTT and press save. The page should refresh in a few seconds.

If you have turned on auto discovery, wait for a minute and you should be able to see the device in home assistant (Go to Settings > Devices > MQTT and look for Victron)

Notes:

  • Its recommended to use IP address instead of host name (ie, do not use homeassistant.local) as I've seen Pico W struggling to resolve host name.
  • If you are using multiple VE SyNC units, remember to give different MQTT topic names to the each unit (ex: vesync01, vesync02 etc).
  • If you think any entities are missing, try running MQTT discovery again from the app.

Manually configuring
