Problem was introduced in #3154

This is blocking uplifts:

• 0.70.x Default shield advanced view to TRUE for existing users. (uplift to 0.70.x) #3185
• 0.69.x Default shield advanced view to TRUE for existing users. (uplift to 0.69.x)  #3186
